Yay! It showed up. I think in the future I will order more than I need. Apparently there are new shipping lags built into the Canadian US transaction. No big deal. I really like Lutz and HMTW and will make adjustments.

Thank you!

Cross border ordering can be bothersome no doubt. I've had packages from the US arrive in two days, and packages from the same supplier take 5 weeks. Once a person ships it, they are no longer in control of said items.

Me, I'm really glad that HMTW is still in business, and wish them good fortune!

Thanks guys. Yes, I checked the tracking number yesterday and it seemed to be in the next town from you, Mike ... so then I didn't panick.
Postal service is just strange. Same as Ed, I've had packages deliver in 2-3 days. And then earlier this year I made a rush delivery, within BC (and not very far at all), and that took 3 days. The pkg was actually going to someone to take guitar sets the big Convention in Tacoma, and it didn't make it. Was very disappointing.
Anyways, Mike, glad it showed up. I just got the arrival email from CanadaPost.

Shipping is a lot like teenagers and their' chores getting done. Sometimes today, sometimes a month from Sunday. At least with teenagers, we have the recourse of withholding privilege.

Is there a lengthy wait time between placing an order and being invoiced for it? So far my order has gone into communications limbo and I don't think there is a way I can follow up on my order.

Thanks very much.

I have a similar situation. I ordered some material that was not in stock, AAA tops. I understand they are now cut and still drying. I expect an invoice when the material is actually ready to ship. This seems appropriate to me, but I am guessing. Please note that the person you are awaiting email from told me he would be away on holidays starting today for one week. You probably will not receive a reply for a week. I understand the "new" wood will be dry by the time he gets back.

Sent you an email Peter.

Sorry for the wait on the AAA sets folks. I have some logs that turned out to be a bit of a pain. Look nice on the outside, but when I split
them I discovered some twist in the center of the tree. This dropping the grade a fair bit. They may end up as electric bass sets. So I am stuck with a big amount of AA sets, and annoying the h*ll outta me.
At the same time, I have some sets that are quite nice (straight and tight grained, clear, well quartered), but they have colour and are not the sought after, clean white look. I haven't been shipping them out as 3A because of this. They have a pink tinge on then inside of the set. Some are quite subtle and some quite obvious. I also have some sets that I would grade as 3A, but they have that denim blue colour from sitting a long time in log form. I am aware that the colour isn't wanted by most, but these are some really stiff sets. Tight grain and straight.
Would anyone be interested in any of these?

Currently, I have been TRYING to high grade our acoustic guitar sets, but not much luck. Some are drying and I will have to finish processing them in a week or two and see what they look like.

Also I am cutting Yellow Cedar back and side sets and some Birds Eye Birch Burls for rosette squares.

I am away next week on a trip and will post some photos when some product is ready.

If you don't receive an email next week, please be patient.

Been out in the shop all day cutting and shaping new braces with my well cut brace wood from HMTW. Very nice stuff. Very nice.

Just received my order a few days ago. Thanks!

Ten of the AA sets, and a couple AAA sets. Light, stiff, tight grained. I like them a lot, and honestly it's tough the tell the AA from the AAA. I made sure to mark them before I put them away so I'm not left scratching my head in the future, wondering which is which. Really great stuff. What struck me was how LIGHT the wood is. I could tell as soon as I took the stack of tops out of the box.
